Harbinger of Storms is the AoE farming specialist of Lord Nine: Infinite Class (LordNine) — and the most polarizing class on the hidden roster. As a generalist it ranks last of the eight: it doesn't boss, doesn't duel, doesn't flex. But in its one discipline — pulling a dense pack into a storm and deleting it — it stands alongside Alchemist and Striker as one of the best AoE farmers in the game.

How to Unlock Harbinger of Storms
Hidden classes in LordNine unlock automatically when you carry a specific combination of six abilities at the same time. The combo is arranged as three slots with two interchangeable options each — you need one ability from both columns of every row, active simultaneously on the same character. Order doesn't matter, and the abilities can come from any base class you've leveled.
| Slot | Option A | Option B |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | ||
| 2 | ||
| 3 |
Swapping any qualifying ability out of your active build reverts the class until the combo lines up again — plan swaps carefully. For every other combo in the game, see the complete hidden class combination reference.
The Class Skill: Raging Storm
![]()
Class Skill: Summons a Storm Area to pull targets toward the caster with a +60% chance and significantly reduces their Movement Speed. Storm Area deals fixed damage 8 times and deals a powerful Combined Damage 3 sec later. (Up to 10 targets) While the Storm Area is summoned, the caster becomes immune to all Status Effects.
The loop: drop the storm on a pack, let the pull and slow bunch everything on top of you, ride out the damage ticks, and collect the delayed burst — all while immune to every status effect for the duration. The area is genuinely huge, which is what keeps clear speed high even when individual pulls miss.
Its One Job, Done Well
This is a PvE AoE class, and that's the whole sentence. If your gameplay is dense-pack farming — leveling alts, grinding drop spots, clearing field content — Harbinger competes with the best AoE classes in the game. If your gameplay is anything else, the class has little to offer, which is exactly why it polarizes tier discussions.
Why so few people have it: the combo requirements are the steepest on the roster. Around four of its slot abilities are premium tags that realistically come from either the marketplace or specific red boss drops, so the entry cost filters out most casual interest before the class gets a fair look.
Descent of Wind God at Ability Level 800
The 800 skill is a self-steroid: +20% Max HP, +200 Defense Power, +20% Attack Speed, and +20% Movement Speed for 30 seconds. No flash, just a long, thick buff window that makes farm loops faster and safer.
Build: Weapons, Stats, and Relics
Scythe, crossbow, and staff — the skill-damage AoE weapons — are the natural partners; the milestone ladder is loaded with Skill Damage (+7% at 100, +15% at 500) and feeds them directly.
Relic priority: Origin of Destruction (Attack) first, then Magic Storm (Skill Damage), then Barrier of Protection (Defense), with Crystal of Life (HP) last. Plan the Temporal Piece budget with the relic calculator.
Ability Total Level Bonuses
| Ability Total Level | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 100 | Skill Damage +7% |
| 200 | Movement Speed +8% |
| 300 | Attack Speed +8% |
| 400 | Attack Power +70 |
| 500 | Skill Damage +15% |
| 600 | Landing Attack Skill increases the caster's Movement Speed for 30 sec. |
| 700 | Attack Power +100, Attack Speed +5% |
| 800 | Descent of Wind God — Increases the caster's Max HP by 20%, Defense Power by 200, Attack Speed by 20%, and Movement Speed by 20% for 30 sec. |
Your ability total level is the sum of every ability level on your build, so any ability you level walks you up the ladder. Milestones 100–500 come fairly quickly — the game hands out Expert and Maestro scrolls often. At 600 the wall starts: promoting an ability tag from level 90 to 100 takes a Master Scroll, crafted from 10 Maestro Scrolls, and you need six of them. 700 and 800 are long-haul goals if you rely on freebies and grinding alone — the 800 milestone effectively asks for four ability tags at level 140 and two at 120, where 100→120 costs one Master Scroll and 120→140 costs two more.
Verdict
A one-trick class whose trick is excellent. Rank it last as a generalist, rank it top-tier as a farmer, and decide which of those you're actually shopping for. All-purpose players should look at Destroyer first; melee elite-hunters at Sword Master.
